SACRAMENTO, CA — On Friday, The Sacramento Bee’s Editorial Board announced their endorsement for Mai Vang for the District 8 City Council seat. After interviewing each of the candidates, The Sacramento Bee concluded that “a powerhouse like Vang…has a clarity of perspective that will benefit the council and the district. Vang is a change agent, and also a skilled politician who has developed a strong base of support among local and state elected leaders.”

This rousing endorsement adds to the growing momentum of support Mai has received from key Sacramento institutions, local residents, labor unions and elected leaders. While honored by the endorsement from The Sacramento Bee, candidate Mai Vang maintained her focus on mobilizing her community, “ultimately, this campaign is about putting in the work and empowering voters throughout District 8 to make their voices here. That’s how change has always happened—block by block, precinct by precinct. We have less than 3 weeks til Election Day—onward.”
